You go into it making good money while your friends work crap jobs or go to college accumulating debt. By the time you're a journeyman you're 22 making more than $60k a year with no debt.
Think of the potential. Especially if you're smart and save money from day 1.
Its good satisfying work. I always feel very fulfilled at the end of a job. I built that!

The electrical trade is a bit difficult at first, but is very rewarding. I always feel accomplished after a big job. I also recommend going union. The union helps you to find a job to allow you to work and learn at the same time. Since the program is run by workers, they understand the needs of the apprentices.
